Champlain Cable Selected by Stadler Rail to Supply High Performance Wire and Cable for Subway Cars for Atlanta’s Metro System
Champlain Cable and Stadler US Inc. have reached agreement for Champlain to supply power and control cables for over 200 rail cars for the Metropolitan Atlanta Rapid Transit Authority (MARTA). The multi-year contract is valued at several million dollars. The scope of supply commences in 2022 and is scheduled to conclude in 2028-2029. The subway cars will operate throughout the entire expanding MARTA network, providing transportation to over 175,000 riders on a typical weekday. This significant OEM approval demonstrates Champlain’s continued commitment to innovative, value-added wire and cable products for the rail car and underground rail infrastructure.
